Monkey D. Luffy: Straw Hat
Monkey D. Luffy is the founder and captain of the crew. Originally from East Blue, he ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi Devil Fruit, which made his body elastic. Since then, he can stretch endlessly!
Why is he nicknamed “Straw Hat Luffy”? Simply because of the straw hat he cherishes above all else. It was a gift from Red-Haired Shanks, the pirate who saved his life and passed on his dream to him. That hat is the symbol of the promise Luffy made to Shanks: to become the King of the Pirates.
And he fully intends to keep his word. He dreams of finding the One Piece, the legendary treasure of the former Pirate King, Roger. With his charisma, unyielding determination, and unwavering loyalty to his friends, Luffy has everything it takes to succeed. Throughout his adventures, he has defeated ever more powerful foes—the Warlords, the Emperors... Nothing can stand in his way!
After the Wano Country arc, Luffy reached a turning point. By defeating Kaido, he became one of the Four Emperors himself. His bounty skyrocketed to the astronomical sum of 3 billion berrys. Unprecedented! Now, the whole world has its eyes on this straw-hat pirate, who is on the verge of becoming a living legend.

Roronoa Zoro: The Pirate Hunter
Zoro is Luffy’s right-hand man and was the very first to join his crew! He is a genius swordsman who wields three swords with astonishing skill. His three-sword style is one of a kind.
He is determined to become the greatest swordsman of all time and trains relentlessly day after day to achieve it. Possessing monstrous strength, he’s a true combat beast. However, his sense of direction is abysmal—he gets lost all the time!
But Zoro’s greatest quality is his unwavering loyalty to the crew. He would give his life for his allies without hesitation. He is one of those new-wave pirates who send the World Government into a frenzy. His bounty is enormous: over one billion berrys!
With his three legendary swords, Zoro cuts down his enemies like butter. Here they are:
- Wado Ichimonji: The most precious sword in Zoro’s eyes. He inherited this blade after the death of his childhood friend Kuina and vowed to become the world's greatest swordsman in her honor.
- Sandai Kitetsu: A sword reputed to be cursed that he acquired in Loguetown. Despite the curse hanging over this blade, he did not hesitate to choose it.
- Shusui then Enma: After defeating Ryuma, the legendary sword Shusui—considered a national treasure of Wano—was bequeathed to him. He later agreed to exchange it for Enma, the sword of Kozuki Oden, which is known to be more difficult to wield.
Nami: The Cat Burglar
Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hat crew. Watch your wallet, because this redhead has a past as a thief. She loves berrys as much as she despises pirates… at least, that was before she met Luffy, who freed her from the clutches of the fearsome fish-man Arlong.
Since then, she has put her intelligence and meteorological skills at the service of the crew, and she dreams of charting the entire world. In battle, Nami is formidable with her climate baton, a weapon of her own creation that allows her to manipulate the weather—quite handy at sea!
With a bounty of 366 million berrys, Nami has become one of the most wanted pirates by the Marines. But alongside Luffy and the rest of the crew, she fears nothing and no one.

Usopp: The King of Snipers
Usopp, the son of the famous pirate Yasopp, is the crew’s cannoneer and sniper. The long-nosed young man joined Luffy after he saved his village from a fearsome pirate. Since then, he has put his incredible marksmanship and ingenuity at the service of his comrades.
Usopp is a valiant warrior of the seas, inspired by the giants of Elbaf that he so admires. Despite his cowardly nature, he summons immense courage when his friends are in danger. Along with Nami, he is considered the brain of the crew. His inventions, such as his slingshot Kabuto, are truly formidable!
Thanks to his exploits, Usopp has earned quite a reputation. Under the name Sniperking, he is feared around the world. His bounty now reaches 500 million berrys—not bad for the guy once dubbed a compulsive liar in his village!

Sanji: The Black Leg
Sanji is the cook of the crew. This blond gentleman in a suit is a true charmer with the ladies, but beware of his devastating kicks! Sanji fights only with his legs to protect his hands—his most precious chef’s tools.
He has one obsession: to find All Blue, a legendary sea where every kind of fish in the world can be found—a true paradise for this passionate cook! Yet he never hesitates to set aside his dreams to help his friends. His loyalty and big heart are truly admirable.
Behind his signature curled eyebrow lies a heavy past. In reality, Sanji is the third son of the Vinsmoke family, a formidable dynasty of mercenaries from North Blue. Nevertheless, he turned his back on those heartless people who mistreated him as a child. Today, his true family is the crew.
With a bounty exceeding one billion berrys, Sanji has become one of the most wanted pirates. But that won’t stop him from cooking up delicious meals for the crew! After all, that’s his way of protecting them and making them stronger.

Tony Tony Chopper: The Cotton Candy Lover
Tony Tony Chopper is the crew’s ship’s doctor. Thanks to the Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruit he ate, this little reindeer can transform into a human or a half-human, half-animal hybrid... Absolutely adorable!
Like his mentor, Dr. Hiluluk, Tony Tony dreams of becoming a doctor capable of curing all diseases. And despite his young age, he’s already incredibly talented.
With his multiple forms, such as Kung Fu Point or Monster Point, he can also fight alongside Luffy. However, the World Government doesn’t seem to take him seriously... His bounty is only 1,000 berry—they only see him as the crew’s mascot! What an insult to our favorite reindeer. Fortunately, his friends know how to recognize his true talent.
Chopper is the heart and soul of the crew, always ready to heal the wounded. His intelligence and compassion are matched only by his courage when his comrades are in danger. A true Mugiwara, despite his cute appearance!

Nico Robin: The Demon Child
Nico Robin is the crew’s genius archaeologist. This mysterious young woman is the sole survivor of Ohara, an island destroyed by the World Government. Since she was 8 years old, she has been relentlessly pursued because of her unique ability: reading the Poneglyphs, ancient stelae that recount the Void Century.
Robin dreams of uncovering the secret of this erased period of history! After being rescued by Luffy at Enies Lobby, she joined his crew, finally finding a family. Her Devil Fruit, the Hana Hana no Mi, is formidable. It allows her to sprout parts of her body infinitely! Imagine giant arms or hundreds of eyes watching you…
With a bounty of 930 million berrys, Robin is one of the most wanted pirates by the World Government. But this erudite, kind-hearted woman is so much more than that. She is a precious member of the crew, a loyal friend who watches over her comrades. And her quest for the Poneglyphs will be crucial in reaching the One Piece.

Franky: Cutty Flam
Franky is the crew’s brilliant shipwright. This eccentric cyborg with blue hair was the leader of the Franky Family, a gang of demolishers in Water Seven. But after an insane battle with Luffy, he ended up joining his crew.
He is the one who built the Thousand Sunny, a ship packed with gadgets and all kinds of weaponry, including the powerful Gaon cannon mounted on the figurehead.
But Franky himself is a walking weapon! After a serious accident, he turned into a cyborg using scrap metal. His body is a real box of surprises. He can fire laser beams, rockets, spit fire, and even transform into a giant robot! Despite his tough exterior, Franky is a big softie who cries easily.
With a bounty of nearly 400 million berrys on his head, Franky has become one of the most wanted pirates. Yet this brilliant inventor with a big heart is an indispensable asset to Luffy’s crew. His talents have allowed the Straw Hats to venture ever deeper into the Grand Line.

Brook: The Soul King
Brook is the crew’s musician... but not just any musician. He is a living skeleton! Yes, he was brought back to life thanks to the Yomi Yomi no Mi Devil Fruit after dying 50 years ago.
He is determined to reunite with Laboon, the giant whale he left at the Twin Capes with a promise: to return and visit her after circumnavigating the world. Brook is absolutely set on keeping his promise, even half a century later! That’s the class of a true gentleman skeleton.
Despite his eerie appearance, Brook is a formidable swordsman and a talented singer. With his violin and his jokes, he enlivens the atmosphere aboard the ship! Since joining Luffy after the Thriller Bark arc, nothing can stop him. To top it off, Brook has become a real star with a bounty of 383 million berrys!

Jinbe: The Sea Paladin
Jinbe is the crew’s helmsman. Despite his imposing stature, he is an absolute master of Fish-Man Karate. With his devastating techniques and powerful Haki, he sends his enemies flying!
He wishes for Fish-Men and humans to live in harmony, as Fisher Tiger and Queen Otohime once dreamed. That’s why he accepted the title of Warlord, to bring the two races closer together. Yet his heart remains loyal to his friends.
Jinbe fought alongside Luffy during the Marineford War. After many adventures, he officially joined the Straw Hats in Wano. Luffy couldn’t have asked for a better Fish-Man to help him become the King of the Pirates.
With a bounty exceeding one billion berrys, Jinbe is a heavyweight asset aboard the Thousand Sunny. His experience, strength, and strategic sense are invaluable. But more than anything, it’s his wisdom and big heart that make him a treasured member of the crew.

The Crew’s Allies
Here is a more complete list of the main allies of the Straw Hat crew:
- Nefertari Vivi: Princess of Alabasta, she sailed with the crew throughout the Alabasta arc. Even though she eventually stayed in her kingdom, Luffy still considers her an honorary member.
- The Straw Hat Grand Fleet: Composed of 7 pirate crews totaling over 5,600 men, they swore allegiance to Luffy after helping him defeat Doflamingo during the Dressrosa arc.
- Trafalgar Law: Captain of the Heart Pirates, he allied with Luffy at Punk Hazard to fight Kaido and accompanied him to Dressrosa and then Wano Country.
- The Minks and the Kozuki Family: They joined the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance at Zou to help free Wano Country from Kaido alongside the Straw Hats.
- Boa Hancock: Pirate Empress and former Warlord, she helped Luffy infiltrate Impel Down and Marineford.
- Sabo and the Revolutionary Army: Luffy’s adoptive brother rescued him at Dressrosa and promised his support.
- Shirahoshi and the Ryugu Kingdom: Luffy protected and freed them from the threat of Hody Jones at Fish-Man Island.
- Bartolomeo, Cavendish, and the Dressrosa Gladiators: They fought alongside the crew to defeat Doflamingo and liberate Dressrosa.
- Momonosuke Kozuki and the Nine Red Scabbards: The crew helped them reclaim Wano Country from Kaido.
The Crew’s Ships
Vogue Merry

The Vogue Merry is where it all began for Luffy and his crew! This small caravel was gifted to the crew by the kind Kaya after the Syrup Village arc. With its figurehead shaped like a sheep, the Vogue Merry looks splendid. It’s a true little gem designed by Merry himself.
Throughout unforgettable adventures, the Vogue Merry sailed across East Blue and part of the Grand Line with our heroes. From the Arlong Park arc to the epic Battle of Enies Lobby, it braved storms and dangers without faltering.
But, worn out and battered, it eventually met its end after miraculously saving the crew. A true symbol! Its spirit, the Klabautermann, even appeared to bid farewell. A touching moment...
Thousand Sunny

After the loss of the Merry, the pirates needed a new vessel worthy of their ambitions. That’s when Franky stepped in and built them a real beauty: the Thousand Sunny! With its impressive lion-shaped figurehead, majestic sails, and a height of 56 meters, the Sunny truly makes a statement.
This gorgeous ship is packed with incredible gadgets and equipment imagined by Franky: a giant aquarium, special cannons, a revolutionary propulsion system called Coup de Burst, an indoor garden, and even a crow’s nest with panoramic views.
The Sunny is the dream ship for any pirate who respects themselves. Since the Post-Enies Lobby arc, it has proudly carried the Straw Hat crew on their quest for the One Piece. Their adventure is just beginning!
